Elizabeth Heichelbech is an author, artist and teacher in the Boston area. A former professional dancer, she has written and published numerous short stories, poems, and a plays. She earned a BFA in Interdisciplinary Studies from University of Arizona, and an M. Ed. from Lesley University. She holds Massachusetts teaching certifications in English Language Arts, Dance, and Theatre, and is an instructional coach at Weston Middle School. Chopin in Kentucky is her first published novel. She is currently at work on the sequel, Lost and Found at the Canary Cafe. Elizabeth loves the creative process across disciplines, and enjoys painting, collage, crochet, and drawing, and sewing. She lives with her wife and very persnickety cat in Waltham.
